Kureno Sohma is the Rooster of the Zodiac. He's 26. Like Hatori, he does not like others to see his animal form. He's the first Sohma to have his curse lifted. He doesn't know how and why.

He is Akito's secretary and constant companion after Yuki. Akito likes to keep him away from the other members of the Zodiac.

When he went to a convenience store, for the first time at the age of 26, he met Arisa. She developed a crush on him, but he stays away from her because he feels it is better if he does not love her back. Unfortunately, he only appears in the manga.

He was described by Arisa to Hanajima's curiosity as a "male-version of Tohru" with his over-the-top politeness and scatterbrained idiosyncrasies. Kureno seems to be described as "broken-in" by some members of the Sohma family.

The Blog of Kureno Sohma...

going round in circles

I am torn by two attractions. I cannot serve two gods. In the end, I must choose.
"Akito-sama, pardon my imprudence, aren't you applying too much pressure on Isuzu-chan?"

"Why would you ask, Kureno-san?"

"Well... that is to say..."

"Did Isuzu-chan say anything to you? Is she miserable? Are you seeing so much pain in her? Can you find anything that is my fault?"
I didn't want the conversation to continue. The direction of her answer isn't going on a right way. I feel like I'm raising hostility against me.
"No, it's just that, why can't Isuzu-chan stay at Kagura-chan's house? Why do we have to call Kazuma-dono to care for her? Why can't Hatsuhar--"

"You know, Kureno-san, I'm quite tired. I just came back from a trip. To answer all of your question, I am not doing anything wrong in particular. Kazuma-dono agreed that he'll take custody of Isuzu-chan. I'm not sure why, but it wouldn't be anything from my fault. Hatsuharu and Isuzu shouldn't be together and you know the reason. I dare not want to make myself clear again, Kureno-san."

"I understand."
I feel like Akito-sama has something in her sleeve. It might be a dark scheme, but I don't want to cause any slander. I'm just really concerned why she had to move out to a further away place. Her world is already messed up. Can't she rehabilitate with the rest of her friends?
